About The Hundred Dollar Club And Rob Young

Is your life really meant to be devoted to working for someone else? No, of course it isn’t.

But somehow that’s exactly what you’ve ended up doing, because you’ve always done what you were “supposed” to do.

And now you’ve had enough of doing things someone else’s way. You’re ready to do things your own way. Trouble is…

Hi. I’m Rob, and I used to be a corporate guy too. Now I run my own business, work on things I think are important and, best of all – I love my life.

I’m not trying to brag. I just want to show you that it’s more possible than you think.

To leave the corporate world behind.

To start your own business.

To do things your way.

I also want to show you that it doesn’t have to be scary. Or at least, not as scary as you think it will be.

You can ease out of your corporate life and transition yourself and your family into a new life without burning any bridges, losing your life savings, or being thrown out on the streets because you missed your last three mortgage payments.

I know, because I did it myself.

I worked for one of the biggest consulting companies in the world for 10 years. Then, in 2007, I quit to go travelling. Since then I’ve started an eCommerce business, run my own consulting firm, and, of course, founded The Hundred Dollar Club.

I started The Hundred Dollar Club after attending the World Domination Summit in 2012. It was literally life-changing, and at the end of it all the attendees were given – yes, given – $100 to go out and make a difference in the world, perhaps by donating it or starting a business or non-profit with it.

It seems like a small amount, but it’s really all you need to get going, especially when you’re surrounded by like-minded, encouraging people – who, as we all know, can be difficult to find in the corporate world.

I realised just how important community is when you’re setting out to do something so against the grain of everything you’re used to. So I decided to create one. Inspired by Chris Guillebeau’s  generosity in giving me and 999 other attendees $100, I gave $100 to 10 more aspiring entrepreneurs, and we got to know each other through a private group on Facebook.

Now I consider them all good friends, and watching their businesses grow over the past couple of years has been one of the proudest and most humbling experiences of my life. To know that I was a part of it makes me feel extremely honoured.

I’m now on a mission to help as many people as possible do the same thing.

Sadly I can’t give everybody $100, but I can provide you with guidance, reassurance, and a kick up the arse when needed. (Kicks up the arse are my specialty, in fact.)

Here’s a gentle kick now: You probably have most of what you need to create the life you want, you just need to get started.

Ready to take that first step? Download The Hundred Dollar Club’s free eBook. You can read about some personal journeys into entrepreneurship, and it’ll give you your first look at all the different types of businesses you could run, walk you through the idea process and how to decide which business model is best for you, and  give you guidance on how to make it successful and start living the life you want to lead.

Done that? Want more? Brilliant. Then tweet me @therobyoung, email me or find me on Facebook, and let me know what help you need with the next step.
